Varieties : Blueberries

Blueberries ripen in mid-July to early September. A blueberry bush matures in three to four years and then continues to produce for decades. There are several different varieties that produce different sizes and ripen at different times. Each berry is hand picked. Eat all you can of this highly nutritional berry.

Keep refrigerated for short periods of time. They are easy to freeze. Wash and dry. Line a cooking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Spread a single layer of berries on the sheet. Place in freezer until berries are firm. Remove and place in freezer container. Then they are ready to add to pancakes all winter long.
