Indoor Winter Farmers Market

The North Union Farmers Market has moved indoors for the winter days. The market is open every Saturday from 9am to noon. now until March 27. Covered Bridge Gardens has joined their fellow local farmers for a warm location just off the Shaker Square. We are located next to the CVS. There is plenty of parking behind the CVS.

Covered Bridge Gardens offers their premium popcorn along with the flavorful cornmeal made from the same corn. They also have their Arizona pecans under their Pecandarosa label. They have fresh, roasted and a selection of flavored pecans. They also have potatoes such as white, Yukon and red varieties. They bring Peters Creek eggs and seed sprouts. To bring a little spring to the table they are growing fresh greens in a limited amounts.

This is also a great time to pick up the 2010 CSA membership form. Mick and Kay are available to answer questions about their program and talk about their farm.

The market also provides customers with a wide selection of apples, honey, mushrooms, beef, pork, eggs, beans, maple syrup, onions, and other interesting farm products. So plan a cozy morning at the market for a taste of the season's flavors for your menu for the whole week.

Online Popcorn Store Now Open

What sounds better than sitting down to watch a good movie on a cold wintry night? What goes better with a movie than a big bowl of freshly popped corn?  What better type of corn than that which is locally grown and produced in Ashtabula County right here at Covered Bridge Gardens on Netcher Road?

Now you can order this Ohio grown popcorn from our on-line store direct to you.

As you might expect, we have the traditional popcorn kernels loose in various size bags, but for a unique idea, we also offer popping right off the ear! Just place a whole cob in the microwave and watch the fun ensue. Instructions are included with each twin ear package.

We grow yellow, blue, white and red varieties. We stone ground these into cornmeal with an extraordinary flavor. These different varieties are sold as available. See our recipes for cornbread ideas.

Covered Bridge Gardens popcorn, straight from the farm, is available year-round.  Click on the Store in our menu.
